What soft washing is
A cleaning solution is applied at garden-hose pressure, given time to break down the algae and film, then rinsed. The chemistry lifts the growth; the water only carries it off. That is the whole difference, and on vinyl, painted board, stucco, brick and soffits it is the difference between clean and repaired.
Why the green comes back so fast in Tennessee
The green film on a north or shaded wall is a living colony, not dirt. Blast it off with pressure and you take the visible layer while leaving the roots — which is why a pressure-washed wall can look worse again within a season. Treating it kills what is there, and that is what buys the longer gap before it returns.
